Library Park freshened, set for opening

Over the last few months, Library Beach Park, MM 81.5, bayside, in Islamorada, has been closed to the public in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to undergo sewer-related improvements. The park was one of three properties involved in a larger sewer system connection project that also included Islamorada Fire Station 20 and the Islamorada Library. Additional park improvements included the installation of new sod and sand. Concrete was poured beginning June 22, which after curing will allow for the park to be reopened to the public on Monday, June 29. VILLAGE OF ISLAMORADA/Contributed
